Trams in Kocaeli Will Be Powered by Solar Energy
The new service building's roof of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Park A.Ş. will be equipped with a solar energy system for use on the tram line. With the solar energy system to be installed on 5000 m2 area, 620 kilowatts of energy will be generated per day. The system has a service life of 30 years in case of regular maintenance. The aim of the project, which is planned to be completed within 100 days, is to generate energy by the end of the year.
